The Team Behind MJO
Shirley Dong
In 2017, Shirley was an ESL grad looking for her first job in Canada. Jonathan helped her land it, and that is where MJO's story began. She went on to become a staff data scientist at Block, the company behind Square and Cash App. Today she leads the strategy and operations behind MJO, and she is also a guest writer for our newsletter.
Outside of MJO, she is studying psychotherapy in a part-time program. She brings a fresh angle to our work: data on what works, and psychology on why people act the way they do.
